Our goal is to increase the visibility of Ethiopian art both locally and internationally, while fostering a vibrant and supportive creative ecosystem in Addis Ababa.

The evolution of Vivid Addis from a simple blog to a thriving art platform

2018

The Beginning

Vivid Addis was founded as a blog documenting the emerging contemporary art scene in Addis Ababa, featuring interviews with local artists.

2019

First Exhibition

We organized our first curated exhibition featuring works from 15 emerging Ethiopian artists, attracting over 500 visitors and international attention.

2020

Digital Expansion

Launched our digital platform to reach wider audiences and support artists during the global pandemic, hosting virtual exhibitions and artist talks.

2021

International Recognition
